The College of Science values the important contributions postdoctoral scholars make to the research that takes place ineach laboratory. We aim to foster research excellence for our postdoctoral scholars while equipping them for career success beyond their time with us. 

With a focus on postdoctoral scholar career training beyond the basics, Professor Adam Martin in the Department of Physics and Astronomy has been appointed to serve as Director of Postdoctoral Studies in the College of Science.

Martin helps shepherd College of Science Postdoctoral Scholars across five departments through their time at Notre Dame, ensuring they are getting the most out of the experience. This includes recruiting and coordinating faculty who will present career development modules and mentor the postdoctoral scholars.
