Biography
My research lies in the intersection of geometry, topology and group theory. A general problem in these areas is to uncover properties of geometric spaces via the study of their symmetries and deformations. The main object I investigate is the Mapping Class Group of a Riemann Surface, which, roughly speaking, is the symmetry group of the solution space of certain complex variable equations.
